3D Printing is the next big technology wave that is here today and you don't want to miss out on this great evolution of technology. With 3D printers becoming cheaper every year, the barrier of entry has been fully lifted. No longer do you have to invest thousands of your hard-earned money into a 3D printer that barely works. Now you can get a good, well-working, 3D printer for as low as $249.

Join us as we teach the ins and out of 3D printers. Learn exactly how a 3D printer works, the many different kinds of 3D printers from cartesian, Delta, FDM, to resin printers, and much more! Then learn how the pros like Pixar, Activision, and Disney make their 3D models and have your own try at creating your very own superhero that will be 3D printed out by Taayo Tech and delivered to your front door!

As we learn about what makes a 3D printer tick, we'll also be discussing how the 3D printing industry earns businesses big and small, large sums of money. Imagine having your own fleet of 3D printers, working for you, and earning you thousands a month out of the comfort of your own home! It's like owning your own processing factory but inside your own home and cost affordable. Learn as the creator of Taayo Tech shows how he earns thousands a month with his Rooted Pots business using 3D printers.

Students will gain knowledge of not only knowing how 3D printers work but how their favorite movie studios and game companies develop 3D models that can be 3D printed out. Like all of our classes, they will also get practice in public speaking and presentation as they present their creations and research assignments to their fellow classmates.

Don't miss out! Sign up now for this summer course today as space is very limited at just 20 spots per course. Act fast!

--------------------------

Week 1 - Deep diver into what 3D printing is and the types of 3D printers (cartesian/delta FDM, resin, others).  Students present their research assignments first then we go into an understanding of the different materials used in 3D printing (PLA, ABS, Resin, Metal, Wood, and more!). Exploring the software to make your own 3D printable models and a tutorial run down to create your model that will be printed out and sent to your door.

1- Research 5 different prints and list these things - Name, Type of 3D Printer, Price, Type of Material it uses

2- Research 2 different kinds of PLA, ABS, resin, and wood filament. List the manufacture, price, size of the product (ex, 1kg, 1 liter, etc). Start working on your own 3D model

Week 2 - Students present their research assignments first then we go into teaching how to use Slicing software to turn your 3D creations into 3D printed models! Diving into the business of 3D printing and the different types of avenues that can be taken to turn 3D printing profitable. Students present their research assignments first then we go into a deep dive into 3D printing businesses, how they make money, and brainstorming ideas with the students on what they could create to start their own business through 3D printing.

3- Research and come up with your own idea of what kind 3D printing business you would like to create. This could be product-based, service-based, whatever comes to mind. Be creative and come up with what you would love to do!

4- Turn in your final 3D model to be 3D printed and delivered to you!

Value Gain: Proven success with past courses with the Boys and Girls Club, University of Texas Arlington, Upward Bound, and TRiO, we re certain your young student will leave this course with a new perspective on STEM and will be wanting more. This course is great for students who are creative and also great for pulling creativity out of students who are shy and quiet. The assignments help develop researching and public speaking skills. Students will be asked to present their research findings to the class which will improve their public speaking skills. This helps builds character, confidence, and the skills needed for students to express themselves and their ideas regardless of the subject matter. Building confidence through creativity and representation is what Taayo Tech does best.

3D printing is important to the future of this country and world, thus it's best to get our young students ahead of the game with understanding the ins and outs of 3D printing on a hardware and software level.

DISCLAIMER: This class requires a computer (laptop/desktop, PC or Mac) in order to model your own 3D figure to be 3D printed. A tablet or cellphone may work for sculpting your own model, but we can not guarantee that.

Each class is held via Zoom calls. The Zoom call invite will be sent to you 2-5 days before classes start. It is recommended you have a camera so the professor and students can see who we are interacting with. Please, dress as you would during a normal day of school.
